Research Excellence

ISI Bangalore houses distinguished research units spanning Theoretical Statistics & Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, and Quality, Reliability & Operations Research. Faculty are renowned for publishing in top-tier journals and collaborating with global research institutions.

Academic Heritage

90+ years of contribution to statistical science. Home to pioneers of multivariate analysis, design of experiments, and econometric modelling.

Global Recognition

ISI degrees are recognised worldwide. Alumni lead data science teams at major technology firms, financial institutions, and research organisations across the globe.

National Entrance Examination

Admission to ISI programmes is conducted through a rigorous national-level selection process, ensuring that only the most analytically seasoned students are admitted. For the BSDS program, students are selected from across India based on merit lists derived from national examinations: JEE Main and CUET. This provides a direct opportunity for students appearing in these exams nationwide to compete for admission. The process emphasizes strong mathematical reasoning, statistical intuition, and problem-solving ability, and hence attracting and identifying top talent from all parts of the country.

About the Students

BSDS students at ISI Bangalore are trained in mathematics, statistics, and computation, with strong analytical and problem solving skills. 25 students, ensuring focused academic development.

Availability: Summer internships (May–June) and Winter internships (December).
